The iChem VELOCITY Urine Chemistry System is an automated system for the in vitro measurement of the following analytes in urine : bilirubin, urobilinogen, ketones, ascorbic acid, glucose, protein, blood, pH, nitrite, leukocyte esterase, specific gravity, colour and carity.

The iChemVELOCITY holds 300 teststrips, the strips are easily loaded and the on board stability is 10 days.

Test strips are dispenced by the strip providing module and placed on the strip conveyor system. The sample probe mixes the specimen and aspirates an aliqout for dosing a precise volume on each chemistry pad.

The colour change on the pads is measured in the strip reading module where images are captured after the illumination with 3 colour LEDS (red, green and blue). The colour change of the pads is measured with 3 colours at 8 time points with 15 second increments.
