Swisslog’s BoxPicker is a
high-density, automated pharmacy warehouse for the storage
and secure dispensing of medications and supplies including

to carousels.

with automated storage and dispensing of refrigerated

A unique single-opening/loading feature
limits access to the specific items requested. Medication
and supplies are stored in individual bins on an internal
racking system. To load or dispense medication, an
authorized user must enter the order into the workstation
using the keypad or barcode scanner. For added security,
access is limited to one medication bin at a time using
controlled access drawers.

BoxPicker provides combination storage and
pass-through capability to an ante room using operator
stations on opposite sides of the BoxPicker enabling access
to compounding products from the inside and outside of the
ante room. Products are stored from the pharmacy side and
retrieved from the ante room, eliminating the need to enter
the ante room to deliver stock. BoxPicker is clean room
compatible with positive pressure ensuring the integrity of
the ante room.
Customized for Your Facility
Modules
The BoxPicker can be customized for your
application using 2-15 modules with a minimum of one
workstation. Each module includes 240 bins and four
highcapacity drawers for larger items. A workstation module
consists of a computer terminal, barcode scanner, 184 bins,
and access drawers for bins. Additional workstations can be
configured on the same or opposite side of the BoxPicker
system as needed.
Refrigeration
The BoxPicker is available with
refrigeration for temperature sensitive items. The
refrigeration option can be added to any size BoxPicker.
Dual-Temperature (Patent Pending)
Our dual-temperature option allows the
storage of drugs at both a controlled refrigerated
temperature and room temperature within one highdensity
storage system.

Manager Strip Packager
The system software (PillPick Manager) provides monitoring,
reporting, diagnostics, and inventory management. PillPick
Manager software interfaces with the pharmacy and/or the
hospital information system for data transfer enabling
routine cart fill, replenishment of floor stock, or cabinet
restock.
